RESULT: Biomimetic Architecture

Membranes are vital because they separate the cell from the outside world. They also separate compartments inside the cell to protect important processes and events.

Architecture inspired by Membranes creates a protective layer like the cutaneous membrane (technical term for our skin). Protecting the rest of the body's tissues and organs from physical damage such as abrasions, chemical damage such as detergents, and biological damage from microorganisms.

At the microscopic level the plasma membrane regulates the transport of materials entering and exiting the cell. Membranes also facilitate a fixed environment inside the cell allowing it to transport nutrients into the cell and also to transport toxic substances out of the cell.

My contributions to this project included concept development and generating the final images using MidJourney, refining the vision of membrane-inspired design.
